Aboriginal - First Nations, Metis and Inuit Peoples.

Families - will address the needs of Calgary families with children, who are homeless or are at risk of becoming homeless.

Seniors - those aged 65 years and older. Some facilities will consider those 55 years and older.

Special Needs - persons dealing with addictions, mental health, developmental disabilities or physical disabilities.

Students - individuals attending post-secondary educational institutions.

Youth - children and young  adults usually in the age range of 6 to 18 years.

Other groups - those dealing with AIDS/HIV, the criminal justice system, palliative care and resettlement integration issues.
